About Sheet Metal Workers

The majority of Sheet Metal workers are employed in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning) Industry.

Working off of blueprints on the job site

or in the shop

The Sheet Metal worker fabricates many types of items from flat sheets of metal.

Sheet Metal workers then install these fabricated items.

A specialized type of Sheet Metal worker, the Environmental Service Technician, maintains and services the HVAC systems installed.

There are other specialized areas of interest in the sheet metal industry, such as Architectural sheet metal and Industrial sheet metal.
