ABOUT US

Our Mission

In today’s economy, the term “higher education” means different things to different people. While the traditional view has meant attending a two- or four-year college or university, there is another side to higher education well worth considering — the skilled labor trades.  The Milwaukee Area Sheet Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee, apprentices at unionized training centers across the U.S. and Canada attend classes, participate in labs, earn grades and receive on-the-job training in a five-year program.

Our History

Apprentices are paid while they work to become journeymen and graduate with no tuition debt, a major benefit when so many traditional graduates are burdened with student loans often amounting to five or even six figures. The apprenticeship program isn’t for individuals who failed at college or need a fallback position. Instead, it is a rigorous, cutting-edge curriculum for serious students with a strong aptitude for math, problem solving, mechanical skills and spatial relationships.

Expert Instructors

We have some of the most experienced and skilled union sheet metal instructors, who have not only served a rigorous 5-year apprenticeship but also have over 10 years of on-the-job training under their belts. These instructors are true experts in their field, and they are eager to share their wealth of knowledge and expertise with you.  Learning from such seasoned professionals will provide you with invaluable insights and hands-on experience that is second to none. Whether you are just starting out or looking to hone your skills, this is a fantastic chance to learn from the best in the industry.  Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to elevate your skills and knowledge. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further information.
