Program Overview
Duration: The apprenticeship spans 5 years and includes a minimum of 9,000 hours of combined work experience and related instruction. This extensive training ensures that apprentices gain a robust foundation in the trade.

Early Completion Option
For apprentices demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication, there is an opportunity for early completion:
- Completion Criteria: With JATC approval and upon recommendation by the employer, an apprentice may complete the program after 8,500 hours of combined work experience and related day school instruction. This option is available to those who fulfill the following criteria:
- Successfully complete all prescribed curriculum requirements.
- Obtain certification in First Aid/CPR, demonstrating a commitment to workplace safety and emergency readiness.
